Apprentice - Projects & Sales

Mechatherm are on the lookout for an ambitious young candidate to work as an apprentice in the company Projects & Sales team. The candidate should be either just leaving secondary school or in the opening stages of their college education in engineering.

The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following general day to day duties:-

  • Produce working price estimates.
  • Produce technical specifications.
  • Produce price tender documents.
  • Produce proposal drawings using AutoCAD 2D design software.
  • Produce 3D models using AutoDesk Inventor.
  • Office based will occasional travel required home and abroad.

Training will be given where necessary as part of the apprenticeship.

Applicants should ideally have the following skills and qualifications: -

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with AutoCAD.
  • Typically C grade student or higher (GCSE's).

Mechatherm will offer the successful candidate the necessary funding to complete their engineering education on a 'part time' basis up to a minimum of HNC (Higher National Certificate) level.

Apprentice - Design engineer

Mechatherm are on the lookout for an ambitious young candidate to work as an apprentice in the company Engineering/Drawing Office. The candidate should be either just leaving secondary school or in the opening stages of their college education in engineering.

The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following general day to day duties:-

  • Produce 3D models using AutoDesk Inventor.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD 2D design software
  • Produce parts lists to accompany detail drawings
  • Documentation control

Training will be given where necessary as part of the apprenticeship

Applicants should ideally have the following skills and qualifications: -

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with AutoDesk software including Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Typically C grade student or higher (GCSE's).
