Mechatherm awarded contract for another new 63T Tilting Melting Furnace at Aluminium SA - Greece!

Mechatherm have been awarded a contract to supply 1 x 63 Tonne Capacity Tilting Melting Furnace for Aluminium SA of Greece. This is a repeat order to a furnace Mechatherm supplied back in 2006. Site work is expected to commence in July 2008.

Mechatherm completes installation at ASHKAR METALS in Dubai!

Mechatherm (via licensee AIFL) has completed installation and construction of 1 x 12 Tonne capacity Tilting Melting Holding Furnace, and 1 x 5 Tonne oil fired Rotary Furnace at Ashkar Metals - Dubai, UAE. The plant is now in up and running and producing Aluminium ingots.

Mechatherm have been awarded a contract to provide a new 70T Static Melting Furnace and to upgrade/install existing casting equipment transported from a recently closed UK Alcoa plant.

Mechatherm (via licensee AIFL) have started installation and construction of 1 x 50 Tonne Static Side well Melting Furnace, 2 x 25 Tonne Static Side well Holding Furnace, 1 x 8 Tonne oxygen/gas fired Tilting Rotary Furnace and 1 x 25 Tonne Melter/Holder.

Mechatherm challenged to play 6-a-side football match against Pyrotek!

Mechatherm were challenged and played in a friendly 6-a-side football match against Pyrotek/TAB Refractories in Warrington, England. The match was hard fought on a unusually hot sunny April day where Pyrotek eventually came out victorious.

Mechatherm would like to give a big thank you to Pyrotek/TAB Refractories for their hospitality and can say it was a day enjoyed by all involved (Even though MIL lost).

Special thanks also goes to Murat from REFSAN who kindly donated Mechatherm's team kit using his close tie as vice president at Turkish league champions, Fenebache Football Club.

Mechatherm complete first cast at ALCOA Samara, Russia!

Mechatherm have successfully performed the first cast on the newly upgraded casting centre #21 at Alcoa Samara. This project included the modernization of 1 x 55 tonne Top Loading Static Melting furnace, 1 x 55 tonne Tilting Holding Furnace and 1 x 55T Capacity Slab Casting Machine.

This was Mechatherm's first project with Alcoa, Russia and has paved the way for the newer orders obtained recently.

Mechatherm welcome Pierre Barneix as their latest addition to the Projects & Sales Team!

Mechatherm are pleased to announce that Pierre Barneix has now been added to the projects and sales team. Pierre has been at Mechatherm since 2004 and has spent his time as a commissioning engineer working on several projects worldwide. Pierre has now transferred departments and is bringing a whole host of new skills and experience with him.

Pierre will now specialise in proposing and quoting Mechatherm's control and automation systems on all new projects. Pierre is fluent in English, Spanish and of course his native language French, which will no doubt, prove to be a valuable asset in our worldwide sales operations.

Mechatherm welcomes Pierre to his new role and wishes him every success.

Mechatherm adds Thermserve to its growing list of licensees!

Mechatherm has signed a license agreement with Mr. Steven Hodgkiss (Managing Director) of Thermserve. This agreement will enable Thermserve to market, manufacture, install and commission Mechatherm design furnaces to our shared clients in the Aluminium extrusion market.

Mechatherm successfully complete new furnace for HINDALCO in Renukoot, India!

Mechatherm (via licensee AIFL) has successfully completed the commissioning, start up and acceptance of 1 x 60T tilting melting furnace with 12T/hr heavy oil regenerative burner system at Hindalco, Renukoot - India. This is one of the first projects utilising regenerative burners operating on heavy fuel oil.

Mechatherm have recently won a contract to supply Alcoa Belaya Kalitva - Russia for a DC Casting Centre including 1 x 50 tonne melting furnace with regenerative burners, 1 x 45 tonne tilting holding furnace and 1 x 45 tonne DC casting machine for billets and slabs, together with SCADA control system and ancillary equipment.
