Mechatherm offers foundry consultation services!

Is your furnace and ancillary equipment working efficiently, maximizing metal yields and meeting current environmental legislation?

If the answer is no, or you are not sure, Mechatherm would like to offer it services to perform site surveys and performance studies on your existing equipment. We would then compile a comprehensive report on our findings which will offer solutions on how to improve your existing equipment and operating practices to maximize your production.

Mechatherm invests in ‘state of the art’ HD video conferencing system!

In a world of fast evolving communication technologies Mechatherm has identified video conferencing as an area that is becoming more and more applicable in its day to day operations.

With this in mind Mechatherm has decided to invest in the latest ‘Polycom High Definition’ video conferencing equipment to further enhance our operations. By offering this feature we hope to give our clients the ability and flexibility to hold almost instant meetings for all areas of business connected with our company.

This will also bring many advantages to Mechatherm and our client's alike, such as:-

  • Reduced travel requirements.
  • Reduced overall costs a result of less traveling.
  • Reduced carbon footprint on the environment as a result of less traveling.
  • Reduced waiting times for meeting appointments.
  • On demand meetings can be held more frequently.
  • Visual presentations can be given online.
  • Can bring multiple locations to one meeting.

Our new equipment has the ability to monitor eight pre-set positions in a 'round the table' discussion. We have also installed a dedicated high speed internet connection for uninterrupted video streaming. Our new equipment will not just be limited to our meeting room either. We are able to set-up conferences with single users using only a laptop computer and web cam.

Mechatherm commence site work on new casting centre at EGYPTALUM, Egypt!

Site installation has now commenced on the new Mechatherm DC Casting Centre which includes 2 x 30 Tonne tilting holding furnaces and 1 x 30 Tonne DC billet casting machine. The installation is expected to be completed by October 2008.

Mechatherm complete installation on new homogenized billet cooling chamber at EGYPTALUM, Egypt!

Mechatherm have now completed the installation of the recently awarded 30 Tonne Capacity Cooling Chamber for homogenized billets with reversing air flow and water mist facility.

Mechatherm commence site work on new 63T Tilting Melting Furnace at Aluminium SA - Greece!

Mechatherm have commenced site work on 1 x 63 Tonne Capacity Tilting Melting Furnace for Aluminium SA of Greece. Site work is expected to be completed in November 2008.

Mechatherm in the closing stages of installation and commissioning at SAHINLER in Turkey!

Mechatherm (via our Indian licensee AIFL) are in the closing stages of completing the installation and construction of 1 x 50 Tonne Static Side well Melting Furnace, 2 x 25 Tonne Static Side well Holding Furnace, 1 x 8 Tonne oxygen/gas fired Tilting Rotary Furnace and 1 x 25 Tonne Melter/Holder.

Mechatherm receive record large order for new cast house furnaces in the Middle East!

Mechatherm has recently obtained a large order to provide several melting/casting furnaces to a new green field smelter complex in the Middle East. The new smelter promises to be one of the largest and most modern of its kind in the world. This new order ranks as one of Mechatherm’s most prestigious orders over its 35 year history and cements Mechatherm’s place as one of the leading suppliers of casthouse furnaces in the world today. Included in the order are what Mechatherm believe to be the largest tilting furnaces in the world today (130 Tonne capacity).

Mechatherm on site at ALCOA Kitts Green, UK!

Mechatherm are currently installing a refurbished casting centre at Alcoa Kitts Green - UK. The equipment supply includes 1 x new 70 Tonne static melting furnace with regenerative burners, 1 x refurbished 70 Tonne tilting holding furnace and 1 x upgraded 70 Tonne DC casting machine for slabs, together with SCADA control system and ancillary equipment.

Mechatherm are currently installing a new casting centre at Alcoa Samara - Russia. The equipment supply includes 2 x 80 Tonne melting furnace with regenerative burners, 1 x 75 Tonne tilting holding furnace and 1 x 75 Tonne DC casting machine for slabs, together with SCADA control system and ancillary equipment. Mechatherm expect to perform the first cast before August 2008.

Mechatherm are currently installing a new casting centre at Alcoa Belaya Kalitva - Russia. The equipment supply includes 1 x 50 Tonne melting furnace with regenerative burners, 1 x 45 Tonne tilting holding furnace and 1 x 45 Tonne DC casting machine for billets and slabs, together with SCADA control system and ancillary equipment. Mechatherm expect to perform the first cast before September 2008.

Mechatherm have now commenced installation on the new billet charging machine at EGYPTALUM, Egypt!

Mechatherm have now commenced installation the recently awarded 50 Tonne Capacity rotating billet charging machine for their existing homogenizing furnaces. The machine was fabricated and assembled by our Chinese licensee (Changrong Furnaces) in Dalian, China and transported to Egypt for final installation.

Mechatherm complete first cast at ALCOA Samara, Russia!

Mechatherm have successfully performed the first cast on the newly installed casting centre at Alcoa Samara (line #1). This project involved the installation of 1 x 50 Tonne Static Melting furnace, 1 x 45 Tonne Tilting Holding Furnace and 1 x 45T Capacity Slab Casting Machine. Mechatherm expects to finalise the project and handover to our client before September 2008.

Mechatherm receive prestigious award at this year Midlands International Trade Awards

After a successful year of export contracts around the globe, Mechatherm was invited to attend the ‘Midlands International Trade Awards 2008’. The evening ended with Mechatherm being recognised as the ‘Exporter of the Year 2008’. The evening was well attended by various companies from around the Midlands at a formal gathering held at Birmingham’s Millennium Point ‘Think Tank’. Mechatherm would like to thank its client’s, the entire staff and also its associate companies for making this prestigious award possible and hope that we can continue our success in UK export for several years to come.

Mechatherm opening branch office in Krasnoyarsk RUSSIA!

Mechatherm have recently set up a branch office in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Mechatherm hope this will aid in our continued success in the Russian Federation and assist on our new contracts. The office is to be managed by Mechatherm's commercial manager for Russia, Ms. Vera Kofman. Vera will be working closely with our UK office along with our Russian Licensee (MGD) to ensure a first class service to all of our customers in Russia.

Mechatherm awarded contract for new soaking pit at SAPA Heat Transfer, Sweden!

Mechatherm have recently been awarded a contract to supply a 100 Tonne capacity electrically heated soaking pit to SAPA Heat Transfer in FinspÄng, Sweden. This soaking pit will be installed alongside a similar unit we supplied back in 2000. The project is expected to be completed by early 2009.

Mechatherm receive second large order for new cast house furnaces in Siberia!

Mechatherm are extremely pleased to announce that it has recently obtained (via its Russian Licensee MGD) a second large order to provide several electrically heated tilting casting furnaces to the second of two new green field smelter complexes in Siberia. The equipment is to be installed in phases and is expected to be in full operation by 2011.

Mechatherm awarded contract for a new Water Cooling Plant at ALCOA - Kitts Green, Birmingham!

Mechatherm have been awarded a contract to provide a new Water Cooling Plant to supply the newly proposed casting centre at their plant in Kitts Green Birmingham.
