Mechatherm awarded furnaces order for the new BALCO expansion project in Korba, India!
Mechatherm is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an order for 6 x 80T Capacity Electrically Heated Tilting Melting and Holding Furnaces for the new BALCO expansion project in Korba, India. Through the help and hard work of our Indian licensee, Associated Industrial Furnaces (P) Ltd., Mechatherm was able to finalise a deal which maintains our status as the No.1 furnace supplier to the Vedanta group.
Mechatherm is scheduled to complete installation and commissioning of the new furnaces during the middle of 2011.

Mechatherm have been awarded Contract from Hulamin, Pietermaritzburg, SA!
Mechatherm are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Contract from Hulamin Rolled Products located in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa for Melting and Holding furnaces for their FRR Optimisation Project. The contract will consist of a 55T capacity top loading melting furnace fired with the latest state of the art regenerative burners for a maximum melt rate of 24T/hr complete with an integrated Electro-Magnetic Stirrer and dedicated lid lift crane. Molten metal will be transferred to a 57T tilting holding furnace before feeding metal to an existing upgraded VDC machine. The new equipment will allow Hulamin to recycle and cast 70,000 T/annum of finished rolling ingot.
Mechatherm will work with Hulamin to provide bespoke furnace designs to fit in and work alongside several items of existing equipment. We believe the furnaces will be amongst the most technologically advanced in the world combining the experiences and operating knowledge of Hulamin and the casthouse furnace references of Mechatherm. The first cast is scheduled for end of November 2010.

Mechatherm awarded first contract in Venezuela!
Mechatherm is pleased to announce that it has been recently awarded a contract by SWT Co. to install a new state of the art scrap recycling facility at their new plant in Barquisimeto City.
This new facility will comprise of two separate ‘open ingot’ casting lines fed by a series of Mechatherm tilting melting and holding furnaces. When complete this plant will be the first of its type in Venezuela and will make SWT Co. the largest Aluminium Scrap recycler in that region.
Mechatherm is scheduled to complete installation and commissioning of the new facility in the first quarter of 2011.
